Yes, I like that idea. The "'official' low-level API" was the whole idea behind the RDF::Trine package, spurred by the original perlrdf discussions. That being said, I worry that it ends up mostly being me making arbitrary design choices most of the time, so I'd like to reiterate that if anyone ever has comments, suggestions, or patches for any of the RDF::Trine code, I'd greatly appreciate you sending them along.

I thought RDF::Simple would be the perfect name for these shortcuts, but sadly it's already taken. Is Martin Thurn (the RDF::Simple author) on this list? Seems like he should be with a published RDF module on CPAN. I'm just worried about us ending up with dozens of RDF modules on CPAN with similar names that all do overlapping things in different ways.
